Michigan amusement park plan set for environmental hearings

I love the Grayling area and don't think that a park surviving in the area would be impossible, but according to the paper, they plan to have the world's tallest ferris wheel. Somehow I doubt that since the it would have to be bigger than the London Eye and all of those other ferris wheels that have been built taller since then. I seriously doubt that this guy will ever get the financial backing together to build this increasingly preposterous sounding park.

I also have my doubt about the financial backing. It's certainly an ambitious endeavor. I do think it has a good chance of survival considering the vacationers would flock to it. Michigan can certainly use more job opportunities.

This is pie in the sky. It's ridiculous. If this company thinks the tallest Ferris wheel in the world is going to work at a seasonal park in Michigan, they know less about building amusement parks than even I do.

This is the field of dreams.

This lunatic is going to get this park built, and, by God, this thing will be amazing. This park will be filled with wooden coasters whose exit platforms lead only to another wooden coaster! You'll have to take a coaster to get to the exit of the park. We're not talking out and backs, just an "outs."

Each coaster will lead farther and farther in the distance, inaccessible by any other path in the park. Horizon after horizon of coasters. Kids will be separated from their parents for days. Kids can sleep in tents in campgrounds in the Michigan wilderness. The park will have its own helicopter team to locate lost families.

My God, it's happening. You go, man.
