Please understand that I'm not trying to be mean by saying this...But but but
If you can only afford to visit a park farther away only once a summer, maybe you're exactly the demographic they can afford to overlook. Seriously.
I'll put it this way: The park 3.5 hours from me built the wavepool with the world's tallest waves. They got three visits, admission for three each trip and an overnight stay outta me. I dropped almost as much money on that overnight stay alone (was it $225?) as I did buying season passes at the local park for the whole family. Will I do it again? Hell YES. See if I don't!
So if the $2 million slide attracts the folks who can afford to drag in 2.1 kids for multiple summer visits and buy them overpriced slushies and burgers while they're at it? Then they're making the decision that's best for the park. Why would they spend six times as much?
