Canada's Wonderland announces Behemoth

Interesting seating... Dejavu anybody? Looks to be a great ride! After the mid-course brake it seems to look a little lack-luster, but the first half looks very awesome.

Edit: What is up with a brake on EVERY hill after the hammerhead up to the midcourse.... Excessive or doubtful of their engineering skills? Pretty disappointing, IF they are in fact brakes.

Looks good to me. No complaints, I'd ride it.

What's with the stupid train design? What was wrong with the regular hyper coaster trains that B&M has been using since 1999?

Looks like a cool ride, though.

Maybe they just wanted something differnt. If you look in the pic at the bottom of my post you will see that their is plenty of room which they could have done so much more with this ride. Maybe if they would have made the ride any bigger it would have costed to mo much.

Maybe B&M has a new train design for the hyper coasters that will provide a different kind of ride.

Anyone notice that each airtime hill on the return has a magnetic trim?

Well, it looks much better than Goliath at La Ronde. The helix after the midcourse is a bit strange.

As for the new seating: Why?! Part of the appeal of the 4 row-seating was the "party on wheels" feeling. This looks like a design for coaster enthusiasts who only travel on their own!

The train is at least 1/3 longer than the usual Beemer train, i guess it will be great for the last car on that 85° drop.

Those are strange looking trains... But, something to think about: Since the seats are staggered, the overall train will be a bit longer than a typical B&M (assuming the same seating capacity) making the difference between the front and rear or the train that much greater

I'd really like to see B&M do a longer train with 4-across seating...perhaps a 12-car 48-passenger train.

I don't know how the seating is justified. Other than visibility purposes instead of looking at the backs of heads while riding.

It looks like a loading nightmare with the person seating farthest from the gate having to negotiate around the front seats.

My guess it is something this place realy needed though despite the high attendance. Now I'll have to get my passport to try it.

That looks pretty cool, I really like the colors. I think the new trains are interesting, a little Intaminesque. I don't think there will be a seating issue, because unlike Deja Vu, you can easily climb into the pairs of seats and see/converse with the person, even in the outside seats. Hopefully those brakes won't be on hard, although I've come to conclude that B&M just makes them part of their designs.

Looks like I'll be getting a passport for Canada next summer. Looks like a super thrilling ride.

I want to believe that seating arrangement is for a reason but if there is a reason, I don't see it. Maybe it's to give CW something to advertise since La Ronde added a similar coaster in 2006? Not sure what all those brakes are for, either.

They're there to *trim* the fun....riders start screaming too much, you need to put a damper on the "party on wheels"...seriously though, WHY so much braking, can't you just build them shorter in the first place? Why not build a 500' kiddie coaster?

Perhaps PCW said they wanted something like Raging Bull and B&M decided they meant "with too many brakes"?

Sadly, La Ronde didn't advertise Goliath outside of Quebec, so chances are, no one in Toronto know about it! On the other hand... Behemoth is a name that also works in french, so perhaps CW will advertise in Montreal?

Wow, another B&M with way too much energy at the end of the ride... How about some more hills? Some tunnels?

I hope they dont load this thing like Deja Vu, but I doubt they will. Also I think I could do without the last two helicies, probably because lateral G's arent as exciting to me as airtime hill, but it looks cool.

Did any one else notice that under designer on the statistics page, it said B&M, I think they are showing some enthusiast love.
