The TV finals, when conducted in an arena, are done on 4 'portable' lanes. They are standard in all ways, except they move around to facility to facility. The PBA has done several outdoord events, and weather plays a great factor in them, as the wind and sun causes the lane condition to change dramatically. The PBA was purchased by several ex-Microsoft guys about 6 years ago and they have done a much better job of marketing the tour then in previous years, but it's a continual battle.
The IBHOF is a worthy trip if you are ever in St. Louis. While there, you can bowl on traditional, or hand pin spotted lanes. You can also see my photo...if you know where to look.
Although I don't have my track record posted here on coasterbuzz, I have been on 100s of different coasters from all across the country....a tremendous benefit of being a touring professional bowler on the PBA I always went to the local amusement park, or drove to the next town via the amusement parks along the way.
Fever - # of 300 games - 42, the number of coasters....unknown.
