The newly christened Gilroy Gardens is for sale - provided the buyer is the city of Gilroy. The price? At a time when land in Silicon Valley sells for several million an acre, it's a steal.

I didn't realize the park had so much land under its control. Let's hope everything works out for the park. It really is a great place (see my photo).

I was there on Sunday for Spring Con. What a BEAUTIFUL park! Definitely worth a visit.

I almost choked (arti-choked?) when I saw that price tag. "Absurdly low" doesn't even BEGIN to describe it, LOL.

Wow. What a heartbreak if this park doesn't survive. It is an absolutely stunning park.

Yes a total gem of a park. I'd dare say the best on the West Coast outside of Disney. Would be a total loss to sell to the city and see the land get cut up into housing developments or a shOPRY Mills mall.

I am sad to say even though this park is nice somebody is going to make a fortune.

I really hope this place can survive -- it really is as gorgeous as everyone's saying.
