If I am correct, the ride is manufactured by IntaRide, which is the US division of Intamin. So I would guess that shipping the parts from Europe is not required.
I would also think that exchanging three pieces of track could also lead to the exchanging of supports for those pieces.
But maybe, MAVERICK IS SINKING already.
So the last four coasters CP build were all manufactured by Intamin/Intaride and all had their fair share of problems. But all of those rides were pushing boundaries and tried things that were never done before. I still think that the problems CP had with these rides are small compared to the massive worldwide prestige and drawing power they provide(d).
Whatever happens with Maverick shows that designers and manufacturers are clearly working at the margins of the technical and physical possibilties. It also proves that things turn out different in real life than on paper or with the most advanced CAD programs.
The first Gerstlauer 95° drop had to be tweaked several times before it became rideable. On paper it all looked great but there were still things that needed to be changed.
Zierer are changing things on Wicked right now and many Schwarzkopf and Arrow rides had changes after problems became apparent during operation.
The only rides that seem to operate exactly like planned are B&Ms and we are the first who blame them for that!
