Ghost Town deal with state should expedite May opening

The owner of Ghost Town in the Sky and the North Carolina Department of Labor have signed a unique agreement that aims to ensure that the historic Maggie Valley amusement park opens on time. The agreement establishes a partnership between the Department of Labor and Ghost Town so there is an expedited inspection process for all equipment. The amusement park has less than 100 days until its planned opening in May.

Inspectors also are being sent to the American Amusement Rides facility in Tennessee to evaluate Ghost Town equipment being repaired there.

Anyone know more about this American Amusement Rides facility? As a TN resident, I've never heard of AAR.

The owners are seemingly on a roll. Good news yet again from this park.

The shop is in Maryville, TN. A complete new train is being designed and built. About half of the other rides are complete and in storage. American Amusement Rides of Tennessee has been refurbishing major rides for several years. AAR is owned by Rotational Motion LLC a company that had assumed the manufacturing rights of Advantage Rides of Crossville, TN.
