Local business regarding dispute: Beech Bend important to community

OK, here's how you solve half the problem. Have the local zoning authority zone the park to be whatever it has to be. That's the first part. As for the road, I can't believe there aren't public records that spell it out. This guy who lives with his brother (what does that tell you?) needs to get a life and not be such a pathetic and bitter little man.

Tell Cletus Dee and Cletus Dum to build a fireworks store next to there driveway, then make a few bucks and clam up.

Unreal. I'm not sure if this guy is out for a quick buck (although I fail to see how he could), or if he's so bitter, bored and angry that he really wants the park to go away.

It sounds like Dallas Jones can reference documents showing that the road in question is a county road, so I'm not sure Baker has a leg to stand on with regards to that.

I'm glad the community is standing behind Beech Bend on this.

Unfortunately there are some people who aren't satisfied unless they have something to ***** about. What's worse is that they always think they are in the right and that the whole world is wrong.

I can definitely see the agriculture angle. After leaving, I called it "Knoebels on the Farm," due to all the portable rides, a small water park, and and some good wood. (by the way Indiana Beach was "Knoebels by the Lake"). I mean right behind Kentucky Rumbler there were horses running around on a farm.

I can see where the local economy could take a hit from the loss of the park. I'm sure many of the same people who come to race or watch the races come to take a tour of the Corvette plant and museum as well. If they hadn't added Rumbler this year, the amusment park could've probably easily moved somewhere else.

How long has the park been there, and how long has the zoning been around? It would be dumb to take an existing use and throw it in some zone it's totally unreleated to. You don't take a use that's been there for years and say, we decided to rezone so you'll have to knock everything down.

IF, you like to knock Knoebels because of its portable rides. But most of those "portable rides" have been there for years, while SF has taken away many flats from its parks according to many TR's, including a couple of yours I think.

^Whoa, wait a minute. I don't a problem with portable rides, unless they look they don't belong like the Chance Bobsled at SFA in Gotham City. The portable Huss Jump at Great Adventure at least looked like it belonged in the area it was located. I try to go to at least one fair a year, so where would I have a problem with portable rides? I was estatic when Knoebels got the Power Surge. But, let's be realistic Knoebels does look like a rather bizzare county fair located at a campground. It's not Busch Gardens Europe.
