Drayton Manor Park opened G-Force, their Maurer-Sohne X-car coaster, while Flamingoland opened Velocity, a booster bike coaster from Vekoma. Photos and video are posted at UK Rides.

IMO, this will be the only ride worth going on at flamingo land... having visited just over a month ago before it opened, i felt very unimpressed by the whole park. Oh - the vekoma corkie there was slightly smoother than most.

Drayton manor on the other hand....

is it quite a breathe of fresh air to see that other countries aren't caught up in the whole race for speed and height.

I think U.S. parks should look into some of those rides.

I agree. I'd like to see a US park get a Euro Fighter or X-Car coaster someday.
