Where's the video?

Im just glad that once again they are doing it right. I can honestly say that the overall experience on Montu and Kumba are matched only by a couple other parks like IOA

This ride features everything the Euro trip riders liked and a ton more.

Good for BGT.

Chuck, who says if they would add flying scooters he's be there tomorrow!

Where's the animation and layout? Can't see anything related to media than the three pics at the park website.

I am amazed not by the announcement of this ride, but by how many people on here actually seem to think it's named after the pop star Shakira.

It's SheiKra, not Shakira people, totally different pronunciation. I would assume there is something behind the capital "K" in the middle of the name.

Lord help us if the actually started naming rides after celebrities.

For crap's sake, volleyguy, the Shakira thing is a joke. We're not morons.

Cool, the second coaster that features a 90 degree vertical drop with a African theme. I think its good for them to add this in Florida, the tallest coaster in the south, and isn't it the tallest coaster to feature a inversion? I agree they could've came up with a better color scheme.

Hey Volleyguy, did ya lose a few hairs when that one went over your head?
October 27, 2004, 4:38P

Ive been to BGT. Its good with montu kumba and the old ones but this is what they need. One for the ages. Yes BGT has enough family rides with all the water ones and the animal things.

I have a friend in tampa I might need to pay him a visit to you know see whats happening in his life.

I wonder what SheiKra means anyways.

VOLLEYGUY what the heck are you smoking. That was so random.

What does Spring mean? ...and don't get all Volleyguy on me I know the true calendar meaning of it, but the sooner it opens, the better. I finished the hotel research yesterday (no procrastinating here), and now that the coaster is official, I want to set some possible dates. It just looks like going to BGT for the new coaster on Valentine's Day is not a possible gift this time around. Maybe April?

Shakira...sheiking when she rides this thing (or one of us) while on a trip to New York, which some people claim is or isn't part of New England, after stopping off at Kingda Ka, which some people think is too close of a name to SheiKra, but nobody cares because Shakira's hot.

I think I've summed up the entire thread fairly well

Looks incredible, gives me more of an incentive to return to FL. With this and Expedition Everest, curious to see what IOA will come out with!

Anyone know if the Immelman will take the record from SR for the tallest inversion?

October 27, 2004, 6:16P

And a climbing carousel would be.............?

Seriously though, what is that? Im I really really shelled up? Ive never heard of that before.

Anyways, this looks incredible. I was very surprised by the whole immelman and second vertical drop thing, sounds awesome. The only thing that worries me is- Is the water element going to be some dinky water cannons shot off near the track when the train goes by, (I.e. Anaconda) or is it actually going to....god help me....make a splash? (immature and totally un-humorous joke).

Regardless, this looks cool, I guess I will try to get down to florida next summer!

SOB is 218ft tall and has a inversion. So that isn't a record and I don't think SOB holds it anymore.

I'm assuming the carousel will be something similar to what Superman: Krypton Coaster has. http://www.coastergallery.com/2001/FT27.html

I think the splash will be similar to the one on Hulk.

This made the long wait for a coaster at BGT worth it. This is one of the most original coasters in the country, and the layout is jaw dropping. I'm so glad BGT got this coaster. I can't wait to visit in the spring.

What an excellent season it will be, with this, Kingda Ka, Hydra, Silver Bullet, Hades, and Italian Job.

Looks like a great ride. Here's a site where you can see some photos of the Media Event and some of the CGI video.

They just posted a video on the offical site! It looks pretty sweet that immelean is HUGE. I really think that B&M is trying to get back into the industry BIG.
