Shrek 4-D one up on Disney attractions, review says

I have not been on Skrek 4-D, I don't think the author of the article has been on It's Tough To Be a Bug because that's a great 4D attraction and he failed to mention that one.

And aren't these 4D type attractions getting old aready?

Phil, you don't go on shows, you see them. You're only on a show if you're performing; and yes, the "4d" shows are getting old.

Yes, coastergoose Dreamworks is behind the Shrek movie but you have to remember who the people at Dreamworks are. These great movie makers/animators are old Disney employees that were replaced by computers back in the time of the lion king, and beauty and the beast. Dreamworks was formed once Michael Eisner tossed them aside for the power of CG. This is why the movie pokes so much fun at Disney almost throughout the entire film. Lord Farquat is short and stuck on himself (Eisner), he owns a theme park that is all about him (Disney), and most of the story line revolves around a Disney movie gone the wrong way. I am glad that Universal picked this up even though the 4-D attraction thing is starting to become the usual over and over again. Hopefully Shrek will add a great new attraction to a park that many people don't find all the exciting in the first place (me being one of them). With the addition of Shrek, Jimmy, and Mummy coming soon this park is going to hopefully get back into the race.

Actually, Dreamworks was founded by David Geffen (record exec.), Steven Spielburg (super director) and Jeff Katzenberg, formerly the Disney animation chief, and as such, the only former rat employee in the founding group.

I don't understand how anyone was "replaced" by computers in the Beauty and the Beast/Lion King days, seeing as how those films had larger teams and more artists. Even if they were obsolete artists who couldn't adapt to the electronic animation, what does that have to do with it? Shrek was entirely computer generated!

Not to pick, but your statement doesn't make sense. Film makers are film makers, regardless of the medium used to create their films.

Side note-Not only does Shrek poke fun at Disney but also pokes fun at Notre Dame (which from my information is the alma matter of a sizable amount of the animators), Farquad's town is Du Lac (the name of the ND rule book) and the town is full of stupid rules. Also the towns people are only seen at a sporting event and church.
