Actually, Dreamworks was founded by David Geffen (record exec.), Steven Spielburg (super director) and Jeff Katzenberg, formerly the Disney animation chief, and as such, the only former rat employee in the founding group.
I don't understand how anyone was "replaced" by computers in the Beauty and the Beast/Lion King days, seeing as how those films had larger teams and more artists. Even if they were obsolete artists who couldn't adapt to the electronic animation, what does that have to do with it? Shrek was entirely computer generated!
Not to pick, but your statement doesn't make sense. Film makers are film makers, regardless of the medium used to create their films.
