Season pass holder files class action suit against Worlds of Adventure for FastLane program

Didn't I say this would happen? I say good for them. I totally agree with the premise that my season pass isn't "good enough" with that program.

This doesn't surprise me. As much as I like many of the attractions at this park and this is coming from a season pass holder as well, it seems as if the park is costing too much even if you do have a season pass, like $9 for parking. Too bad all parks can't cost as much as Knoebel's or Kennywood, but then again, they probably wouldn't have the money to make all the new rides that Six Flags does, but nevertheless making people have to pay even more money to wait in line is silly.

i agree i think the fastpass system is stupid because sooner or later everyone is gonna get the fast pass system and the lines are gonna be just as long as the regular admission lines. so SFWoA should be sued for this matter and the fast pass system should be removed from every park that has it and any other system that has reservations. That just diminishes the whole purpose of an amusement park, to wait in line and build up anticipation to get on the coaster.

I agree completely with Jeff when he says that his "season pass" isn't good enough. While I love all the advantages that my Cedar Point season pass gets me, the Fast Pass really has to go!

Its been said before (and I’m sure it will be said again) – the answer is capacity. Disney’s system works because the run their rides at full capacity, SFWoA doesn’t.

And by the way, IOA Rules… why does your top 5 have 9 rides??? (the mods will most likely ask you to trim your sig. To 3 lines or less…)

Thank goodness people are still alive out there and not just marching arounds parks like zombies taking crap from parks because "they" say so.

I have heard from various sources that the park will often sell more than the 500 cap claimed in the article. That can't help matters either.

HAHA! Finally....more power to them i say! Maybe the park will get some sense knocked into them and remove the system! Down with the Natzi's of the theme park world!Stand up i say! Stand up and fight!!

Way to go Wanda Cochran! I'm glad that someone out there has taken legal action against the FastPass system.

In the article, it mentions "When our daughter described the situation, it sounded dangerous," he said. "She said people were getting mad, cursing and shaking their fists." I have seen this happen first hand at SFGAm in Gurnee, while waiting for Raging Bull. People do not like it when there are line jumpers, but it makes them even more angry when other guests are allowed to do this since they paid more money. I have seen guests in line for Raging Bull that have been waiting for 45 minutes or more get very upset with people who use the fast pass system. Most of the people that I have talked to out at SFGAm feel that it is a waste of money.

I'm actually surprised that fights have not happend in line between the normal guests and the fast pass users. I hope that SF does not wait for that to happen before they decide this system is not going to work.

By the way, parking is now up to $10 out at SFGAm...that went in place the last week of July. That's the 2nd parking increase this year (started out at $8, went to $9 around the 4th of July, and is now at $10).

I dont get this suit. How can you sue saying your SP is not good enough, you got into the park with it. They are not stopping SP holder's from coming in. Why am I not entitled to ride the skycoaster's for free with my SP, why don't I get my on ride photo for free Im a SP holder, because its an upgrade to your park experience not everyone gets the photo or skycoaster's.

You guys are all crazy. Fastpass is great and you just don't want to admit it. I read these boards every day and all I hear on this board is waa-waa-waaaah!!! You guys wouldn't know a good idea if it slapped you upside the head. Oh wait, the way you complain about the rough rides it looks like you already got slapped upside the head.
Fastpass is good for the parks to make money. I have a season pass already and I would do the fast pass thing if it was offered to me. I live about 8 hours away from any parks so that is why I would do it!
This lawsuit won't last in court cause all the season pass guarantees you is access to the park. You don't like the fast pass system then wait in line and keep belly aching, OR find a different park where they don't have it!

Don't other parks have the Fastlane Passes too? They only give out so many a day and its their own fault for not buying them.. and as for "milking money" out of us. Its working and I don't really care b/c everytime I go, my group buys them and I think they are great. Its worth it! and they set aside like 4 seats per roller coaster so the wait isn't THAT much longer. Its called common sense to do the best thing. And there was a wrong thing in the article... Its not good for Batman. And its expected to have long lines on a weekend. DUH AGAIN!!

Season: 8 Trips to SFWoA, 8 X-Flight, 12 Superman, 8 Batman, 2 Serial Thriller, 21 Villain, 2 Mr. Hydes, 2 Shipwreck Falls, 4 Grizzley Run, 4 Mind Eraser, 3 Double Loop, 3 Big Dipper, 2 Raging Wolf Bobs, and 1 Dodgems!

Funny thing is FastPass was started out to be free. SFTP just wanted to make some money on it. I aggree that FastLane at the various SFTPs has GOT to go, or they should take note from Disney and operate like they do. IOA and Universal don't even do it the Disney way, but yet, their lines still move.
Disney has got it down, considering they developed the idea. Make a stand-by line and fastpass line. Disney allows a certain number of fastpass users to enter the normal queue at a certain place, then they allow standby in. It moves so nicely. IOA and SFTP however have seperate queues for each and allow all FastPass/FastLane users first, then with the left over room allow standyby in. I don't know how IOA does it, but the lines just flow on Hulk and Spiderman, even with the fastpass people getting ahead.
Just my 2 cents ... i still think SFTP needs to drop the "payment" for a fastlane.

YES! YES! That's hilarious! I hope this guy wins! Fastlane is of the devil (except the version at SFA, which is actually FAIR). Take that, Six Flags.

Hahahahaha! I always hated the fastline-type programs! Rich people should have to wait just like everybody else. Also ,it looks like someone is confusing fastpass and fastline programs. This is for the programs that you PAY to bypass the lines, not the programs where you reserve a time for free.
