To MILLENNIUM FORCE: NO, Germany has some strict regulations concerning ride safety, set by TÜV (technical surveillance company) but G-force regulations are not set. After all the Schwarzkopf coasters of the 80ies all toured the fair circuit, and the 6.5 gs pulled on Dreier Looping and Thriller (now Millennium coaster in UK and Taz Texas Tornado in SFAW)are still unsurpassed in the coaster world (the coasters are tamed today).
To PEABODY: from what i heard, the coaster will use Intamin trains (five cars, seating six each).
Those cars were used on the german Intamin/Rcca coaster Wild Wild West as well, but only for one season, since the ride became unbearably rough after only a few months of operation. In thesecond operating season the trains were replaced by PREMIER cars. (the same they use on SOB). Actually these trains made the ride much much better, providing very good airtime and less vibration. People in the states dont seem to like the SOB trains, but that coaster is more than twice as big as the german WWW.
The best thing about the very heavy and ornate Intamin trains are the lapbars, which absolutely stayed in position throughout the whole ride. The Premier lapbars are not that good. I hope that Intamin made some substancial improvements to the trains, or they should replace them with Premier as well.
