I saw on Guide to The Point news that you can buy a seat on the debute of MF for about $300. How bad do you want it?

I can imagine how many tickets I can buy for Cedar Point for $300. Ooooh, you can brag to all your friends and family about how you were the first person to go on the Millennium Force. Then you can tell them that you spent $300 to do it. Now watch them laugh hysterically. I will wait a couple days and ride it for free. I can then tell friends and family that I was one of the first people to ride Millennium Force, for the price of admission.

Is it really worth it to ride first? I personaly agree with Luke, with the money you spend to be first you could buy about 30 tickets! I think I'l just wait for a while.

Seeing as how I'll be there a whole week earlier as a guest of a Longeberger employee (they have a buy-out that day), it would hardly make sense for me to do it, other than it's a good cause and a tax deduction.

Well, I am not doing it, as it'd cost about 100 bucks round trip from O'Hare and then I'd have to get some means of transportation... and I won't drive... So, with transportation, plane, and boarding, it'd be at least $600... But whoever did would go down in history, and there might be some perks for them...

Hate to break the news to all of you who are considering paying for that first seat on MF. Whoever actually falls for that is nuts...the employees are first in line to ride...they get to test the coaster before they let anyone on it. However, before the employees get to ride it, the people who designed / built it get to ride. So really it's a waste of money. But at least I can rest assured in the fact that I'll be in line right behind the designers and builders...I'll be working at CP this summer and I'll be riding before Longaberger!! :-)

I'm well aware of the fact that LOTS of people will have ridden it before that, but to me that's not the point.

I'm considering it -- it's a good cause, and it's a tax writeoff.

The fact that I get something out of it (one of the first GP rides on MF) is an added bonus... I'm not being "suckered" into anything...
