Well, I found that the VIP pleasing is actually easy once you know what to do...
...don't depend on the VIP doing whatever the hell he wants. You can map out EXACTLY where the VIP goes in your park... what rides to visit, what attractions to see, and what route to take.
I know what senario you're referring to, and I was stuck on it for a LONG time 'cause of the earlier part of the VIP wanting to see my fireworks display, but I later found out you can map out what the VIP sees... and the same goes for the themed area.
...so just theme your park to Sci-Fi & Adventure themed stuff... and guide your VIP to walk through that area and ride a ride or two in the Sci-Fi or Adventure area. Adeventure theming includes all the pirate-themed stuff... arrrggggh, ye matie! Put lots of palm trees, boats, treasures, pirates & other do-das & you're all set.
It's really simple... and if you tell one VIP to walk & ride a couple rides thru your adventure-land, and the other to walk & ride some sci-fi themed attractions, you'll be done w/ that senario.
