Friend Finder

I think the site should have a way for people to find other enthusiasts who want to visit the same park together. For example, I am in the Marines and I am about to be stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Of course the first thing I did after recieveing my orders was to look up all the parks within the area, the only problem is thatit is kind of boring visiting a park alone, so I am always trying to find people to go with,which is hard enough much less finding another enthusiast, which is almost impossible. I just think it would be a useful tool and would help make coaster trips easier and more fun for alot of people.

Like joe. said, the site already has the same exact feature you are asking for. The second link under "Tools" on the right side of the page is "Meeting Calender"

Hope that helps. I like to go to parks alone sometimes, but all of the time sucks.

I am sure that wherever you are stationed that you should make a lot of friends. I know that in my time in the military I made a lot of friends and that by the time you check into any given duty station that you will have a group of friends pretty quickly. That is just the way people in the military are. Take them to the park and several of you can all have a new experience at the same time!

Certain Victory

While the Meeting Calendar can be useful if you have an exact date in mind, it isn't very helpful if you're looking for someone to plan a trip with, so no I don't think it is the "exact feature" he is looking for. But is better than nothing.

Thanks for the help, but like Acoustic said I am looking for a feature that will help to make it easier to plan trips with someone. Maybe there could be a forum section for people to say where they want to go, and then people could reply to that in order to make travel plans.

Wow, that made for a nice read. That was some trip, Rob! Moosh's comment about the geeks and their stopwatches....ROFL!

Anyhow, back on topic, sorta....
Here's an open invitation to anyone evver thinking about a visit to Adventureland or Arnolds via Des Moines (Fri-Sun). I'll tag along with ya, especially if I don't have to pay gas to drive all the way up to Arnolds.
