Resurrection: What are some of the old woodies that you want to ride but can't because they are closed?

In my opinion I really want the Idora Wildcat to be ressurected, it looks great.

Lincoln Park Comet.

Im the #1 Canobie Lake Park Fan!!!These are my top 3 coasters:
1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Cyclone/B:TDK

I am also gonna say Mister Twister, I know it has been ressurected but John Allen is borderline brilliant and I bet the original kicks Twister's booty

You read my mind MikeMir87. I want the comet to be resurrected. My parents rode it but I didn't. They said it was a wild ride. The Comet is at Lincoln Park in Datmouth, MA. I live 15 minutes away. The city should take action before it get's burned down by arson like the rest of the park. It's been SBNO for 14 years. Do something! The land it is on is for sale. If someone buys the land this classic coaster could be torn down!

I think that all of Coney Island should reopen...

You want to know what Millenium Force is on a scale from 1-10? Oh, that's easy. A bajillion out of ten.

More than anything I want The Bat at PKI to be open. The layout looks amazing!

The Bat ranks up there as do Twister and the CI T-bolt (which I got to see before it's destruction). But what's THE coaster I'd go to if I were back in time....Gotta go with the Revere Beach Lightning...
September 11, 2002, 3:47P

All of them . Idora Wildcat might be a good choice because it took up little space and had tight layout. Areoplane though i think would make headlines because we never saw a coaster like that ever again. More intense than any woodie existing today IMO.

I want an entire park back - Bertrand Island Park at Lake Hopatcong, NJ. They had a nice out and back woody with a double dip along with a great collection of old rides.

I started out with nothing and still have most of it left.

AS much as I love the Lincoln Park Comet, you can't beat Areoplane Coaster, which is why I am really hoping that Rye Playland's idea of remaking the ride become more than an idea but a remake of what could be considered one of the greatest mix of the many elements of a woodie.

Lake Compounce-So Fresh and So Clean Clean

TheIdora Park Wildcat is by far my first choice. When it burned in 1984 it was still listed among the top ten Golden Age coasters to have survived to the modern era. Why that one was lost to posterity I'll never understand.

Remember, just support Little A-Merrick-A's plans to save the Comet. Call them or email them with general support, keep their interest.

Bigkirby, they've been interested for quite sometime an still are trying to attempt it, but the downfall......after 3 months into the projects, Little A-Merrick-A reported that they had recieved little support from enthusiast and very very little contribution to their funding.

Chaos from Opryland... that was by far the most fun indoor roller coaster out there. But... the capitalists wanted a mall instead of good clean fun.

I know. Enthusiast support alone will accomplish nothing but moral support, not financial. They need outside support.

Well, I would say that the Coney Island Shooting Star should be rebuilt. I`ve heard stories about it`s nclosed ending which, like The Beast, was a highlight finish.

I want Intamin AG to ressurect the design concept of Windjammer Surf Racers
September 11, 2002, 4:57P

Mister Twister...I never had a chance to ride this buety. I was too young...
September 11, 2002, 5:09P

Coaster at Chippewa, and the Idora Wildcat. These coasters look tight!

September 11, 2002, 5:25P

I was gonna say Chaos too. Not a woodie though. But, it was pretty cool and I miss Opryland.
