Opened originally in 1987, operated as Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom from 1998 to 2009. Lease acquired by Holiday World's Koch family in 2012, but dropped June 15 due in part to unfavorable lease conditions. It reopened in 2014 under Ed Hart's leadership.
