I think the bigger stories here are the new shows. I would have never guessed that they'd use the former aquatic stadium for an X-Games type show. That's a pretty nifty idea though. It's also good to see the Snoopy Ice Show getting re-done as well.

Cool. Sounds like the the Tea Cups, Rocket Ships, and "Crazy Sub Ride" will be like no other kids rides in the park. I wonder if the bouncing tower will be exactly like the Frog Hopper or a little different (only so much you can do with kid's rides I suppose). It's also good to see that they're keeping a mini-train. The kid's restaurant sounds great, and I was never too attached to Macaroni's personally. New BMX-stunt show in the Aquatic Stadium...I've always been skeptical about squeezing a ride in over there. I'm glad to see the stadium still has some life left in it (although I will say it is a bit of a monstrosity on the beach there).

I think they really dropped the ball not moving Beaver Land Mine Ride from GL to this area. They already have a "bounce tower" and spinning balloons (unless they are moving these from their current locations in the park instead of using the ones from GL). CP could really use another kid friendly coaster.

Would BLMR have taken up most of this area? Perhaps they will stick it somewhere else next year.

It sounds as though they transported the Kiddie section from Geauga Lake, minus the Ball House. The crazy sub is just like the Camp Snoopy Bus, if it's the one from GL. If they are using the GL miniature train here, what did they do with the train that was there previously that circled the area? However, as the dad of a 3-year old, I like this addition.

I wonder if they will retire the Frog Hopper or keep it. Beaverland is still up for sale. No telling what they will do with the ride if they don't get an offer. These will be great addiitions for the Point, but my heart still aches for Geauga.

The park announced a while ago that the 7 rides were coming from Geauga Lake They are rides from the Kidworks area. Here are the original names matched up with the descriptions that are in the news release. Half Pint Railway - miniature train Hot Air Express - spinning baloons Dippy Divers - sub ride Mad Mad Whirl - mini tea cups Road Rally - 4x4 trucks Rocket Relay - rocket ships Tree Hopper - bouncing tower Peanuts Express was removed. Giving the park a new ride total of 74.

Yeah, I'm not sure I understand why they didn't bring that ride along as well. I mean, how many parks have three kid coasters? To me that would really say loudly, "Yes, we do have stuff for the whole family."

Regular Guy, The beginning of your post here looks an awful lot like the beginning of my post on Pointbuzz. loriu, I believe the bounce tower is a Zamperla, where the Frog Hopper is probably an S&S. Similar rides, but probably not the same. In fact, I think all those rides may be from Zamperla. That is what it seemed like at Kidworks. Hopefully they will clean the rides up a bit though. Seat Belt buttons covered in duct tape with a little hole for the "key" probably won't go over well in a "new" part of the park! -Sam

Kings Island and Canada's Wonderland both have 3 kids coasters and we all know how well their kids areas rank. I too am surprised that BeaverLand is not making the move. Would have upped the all-important coaster count to 18 as well...  Ray P.

Are there any major difference between the 4x4's in Planet Snoopy and the 4x4's in Kiddie Kingdom? Same question for the sub ride and the Camp Bus back in Camp Snoopy?

The name reminds me of Super Mario Galaxy for some reason. All I can picture is Mario running around on a planet just big enough for 7 kiddy rides. Strange.

For those wondering why they would not move BLMR over to CP, think about how similar the ride is to Woodstock's Express. I really think it comes down to offering a different experience, much like Kings Island does so well. They have one that is similar to Jr. Gemini, a jr. woodie, and a jr. invert. The kids area at GL was pretty good if I remember right, so getting those rides over to CP does make a big statement on bringing the tiny tots to the park. Maybe next year they will add a junior invert or something and really solidify the area. I just don't think that BLMR fits, though.

I don't think BLMR is that similar to WE. Different layouts completely. The only thing you could say is that they're both steel kids' coasters. In fact, BLMR is a lot less similar to what's already in the park than the rides they ended up transplanting.

All of you adults (and I use that term loosely) debating this is hilarious. What five year old is going to care about any of these issues? As I said over in Pointbuzz...these kids ride countless "circle" rides that all give the exacly same experience...and they do so repeatedly.

But in the general sense, both BLMR and WE are themed to look like steam locomotives. I think they're very similar to the untrained eye - they're both choo choos  We know there's a difference, but would the average 4 year old?

I hope they do not screw up the red garter show. They are not giving much info on the new show. I have always liked how they have a live band and great singers. Always a favorate stop. The new stunt show sounds interesting, along with the new skating show. I have a little one as well(2 year old) and to be honest, what does this new section of rides add to the park that they already do not have? All of the rides they are adding have doubles of them already in the park. The only ride that is new/ uniqe is the tea cup ride. I am not against adding a new kiddieland section, it's just that they should have put in attractions that are new and differant.

I suppose the idea is to consider the ability to spread crowds more than add variety. As already mentioned, kiddie rides don't offer much variety to begin with. The upside to this is the way it should break the 'family' crowds up more.

Zamperla, S&S, it doesn't matter. Those "bounce towers" are basically the same ride and look very similar. Even though my daughter is past riding the kiddie rides, I still feel that CP really needs another kiddie coaster. I'd like to see a jr. woodie but BLMR would've fit the bill perfectly and wouldn't have cost CP much to move. Instead they are selling it.

I would have hoped for a Rock'n'Tug, or the airplane/whip ride. Oh well, at least it will bring more business to that side of the park (they could always move Ocean Motion and throw a Jr. Invert right there next year).

Why spend money on new rides when you have these 7 year olds from GL. It's not like they were old and falling apart. They were just put in during Six Flag's year 2000 mega expansion. The Looney Tunes Boomtown opened in 2000 featuring a foam factory and Larger Than Life play complex, Daffy's Sub, Marvin the Martain's Rocket Ships, Speedy's Big Trucks, Taz's Twister, Tweety's Treehouse, Wile E. Coyote's Balloons and Yosemite Sam's Train. The only thing they're not useing are the Play Complex and the Foam Factory.

I think that the foam factory would have went over great inside planet snoopy. It's something they do not have at the park.

Probably not on the Peanuts Playground footprint, or at least not with all those other rides. They would have to have been a good bit more creative to make all of that fit.
