Six Flags New England neighbors face new law for parking
Thursday, June 21, 2007 9:30 AM ET | contributed by Jeff

Agawam's new regulations for "transient parking lots," like those that have dotted Route 189 near Six Flags New England, will mean fewer less costly options for park-goers. Business owners along Route 189, who had charged $5 and $10 to park on their property for visitors to Six Flags, will now be required to meet new restrictions, including hiring a police detail if they want to keep their lots operating.

Translation: "We don't want to share parking revenue with anyone." Well played, Six Flags!

The problem with the Six Flags parking lots is that they don't guarantee that your car will not be vandalized either. If I could find a cheaper way of parking then I will take it in order to enjoy my time in the park more.

That should be Rt.159. How could the paper screw that up?

I don't see how this is a bad thing. That area isn't designed to have a ton of cars on it daily. If you also have a bunch of signs offering parking, people are going to slow down to try and make a decision and back up traffic even more.
